Diese stark- und schnellwachsende Gartenblume eignet sich als Blickfang und ist gleichzeitig Sichtschutz am Zaun oder verdeckt unschne Mauern. Auch als Hintergrundpflanze sehr beliebt und als Schnittblume fr die groe Vase. 'Holiday' bildet stattliche Rundbsche mit zahlreichen, ca. 1 m langen unverzweigten Seitentrieben. Diese Sorte hat ca. 15 cm groe Blten und ist damit eine ideale Schnittsorte. Einjhrig, goldgelb mit dunkler Mitte, Hhe: 1,2 m.
Tipps
Die Aussaat an Ort und Stelle kann ab Mitte April in ca. 2 cm tiefe Rillen erfolgen. Zum Schutz vor Vogelfra kann ein Insektenschutznetz oder Verfrhungsvlies aufgelegt werden, das zudem das Auflaufen verbessert und die Pflanzenentwicklung beschleunigt. Bei der Vorkultur sollten je 2 Korn direkt in kleine Tpfchen gest und frhzeitig ausgepflanzt werden, da Sonnenblumen mit Wachstumsstockungen auf ein Pikieren reagieren knnen. Der Schnitt kann erfolgen, sobald die Bltenbltter sich ffnen. Ein Entfernen des Blattwerkes bis auf wenige Bltter unterhalb der Blte und sofortiges Einstellen in frisches Vasenwasser frdern die Haltbarkeit.
